B$B Empire is growing its team across Canada. If you want an extra income, hours you control, and the knowledge to help families protect what they're building, we'll train you and guide you through getting licensed.

Commission-basedPart-time or full-timeAcross Canada

Who this is for

You don't need a finance degree or years of experience. The people who do well here tend to be the ones others already turn to for advice.

  • People with a full-time job who want to build something on evenings and weekends.
  • Career changers from teaching, nursing, sales, hospitality or ministry, where listening is the main skill.
  • Newcomers to Canada building a professional career, who understand first-hand what families need when they arrive.
  • Business owners and self-employed people who want a second income stream with hours they control.
  • Anyone who wants to understand money properly, starting with their own.

What you'd actually do

The work is conversations, not cold sales scripts. A typical week looks like this:

  • Meet people who've asked for help, online or in person.
  • Ask about their family, income, debts and what they're worried about.
  • Explain their options in plain language, and what each one costs.
  • Help them apply, and stay with them through underwriting.
  • Review their plan each year and when life changes.
Be clear on this

This is a commission-based role, not a salaried job. What you earn depends on the work you put in and the clients you serve, and there is no guaranteed income. Anyone who promises you a specific figure in this industry is not being straight with you.

What you get from us

  • Training from the ground up — products, needs analysis, and how to run a first meeting without a script.
  • Mentorship from Blessing, who holds an MBA and an LLQP licence, including sitting in on real client meetings.
  • Guidance through licensing — what the LLQP involves, how to prepare, and what your provincial regulator requires, whether that's the Insurance Council of British Columbia, FSRA in Ontario or another province's.
  • A real book of knowledge — the financial planning you learn here applies to your own money first.
  • Hours you set — part-time or full-time, on your own schedule.

What you need

  • To be 18 or older and legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • To live in a Canadian province where you can be licensed, and to hold that licence before you advise clients.
  • To pass a background check. Insurance regulators require good character and a clean record.
  • To complete the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) course and the provincial exam before you can advise clients. We'll walk you through it.
  • A computer, a phone and a quiet place to take video calls.

Getting licensed has costs: the LLQP course, the exam and your provincial regulator's licensing fee. We'll go through the current figures with you on the first call, before you commit to anything.

How it starts

  1. Send the form below. Tell us where you are now and what draws you to this.
  2. A 30-minute call with Blessing. Honest questions both ways, no pressure and no pitch.
  3. Sit in on a meeting or a training session, so you can see the work before deciding.
  4. Decide. If it fits, we map out your licensing and start training. If it doesn't, no hard feelings.
